Samsung Galaxy Alpha review: Galaxy reboot

Introduction

Utilitarian Samsung has finally put on their premium hat to produce a device with more refined looks and manageable size to match the upcoming iPhone 6. An Android super mini and an iPhone 6 competitor, the Alpha puts aluminum back in Samsung's design mix and is optimized for portability rather than massive screen size.

The Galaxy Alpha we are reviewing is based on the company's latest Exynos chipset, tailored to its needs, rather than using the ubiquitous Snapdragon. There's been talk of a Snapdragon-powered version but so far the details are vague.
The screen size hits right where the new iPhone and the Xperia Z1 Compact successor are supposedly aiming at - a more manageable 4.7-inch diagonal.
The Alpha comes with a unique camera with a 12MP 16:9 sensor and 2160p video capture.
Many things about the Galaxy Alpha make us wish it starts a new trend in Samsung design but the practical, mass-market genes of the company are still plainly visible in the Alpha's design.

Main disadvantages
Low battery capacity
Still plenty of plastic in the design
Non-expandable storage
No TV-Out option (no MHL or SlimPort)
Not water resistant (like the S5 mini or Z1 Compact)
The small battery capacity is the biggest practical issue with the Galaxy Alpha though the Exynos 5430 mobile chipset is the first built on a 20nm process (Snapdragons are at 28nm). That and the Cortex-A7 cores should be quite a power-efficient setup.
Another thing is the plastic back panel is at odds with the overall styling, it's the plastic of midrange devices. Still, the Alpha is the thinnest Galaxy smartphone Samsung has made and it's a featherweight, too. At 115g, it weighs as much as an iPhone 5s and is almost a full millimeter thinner to boot. It's only the lack of water-resistance that can possibly backfire.

The metal edge on the sides does elevate the in-hand feel though. It's a popular design, the metal frame exposed on the sides with glass/plastic on the front and back. Apple, Sony and Nokia have all used it on their flagship devices.
We didn't expect Samsung to completely change its identity for the Galaxy Alpha but Galaxy S fans still have plenty to drool over. Fans of Android super minis will also see a glimmer of hope and maybe loosen their grip on the Xperia Z1 Compact. And even if you are the iPhone type, the following pages should still be of interest. You know, to check out what the competition has to offer - and this time, it's a lot of bang in a package small enough.

How to Root Using Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware On Samsung Galaxy S5 (All Models) Guide


Announced in February 2014, Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available for purchase in several countries around the world. The Galaxy S5 comes in some variants and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S5 users who wish to root their devices, may follow the tutorial below.
This tutorial uses CF-Auto-Root file released by Senior Recognized XDA-Developers, Chainfire. Head over to the CF-Auto-Root main thread to learn more about the root method.
Disclaimer: Rooting voids the warranty of your device. We and the developer of this rooting procedures shall not be held responsible if any undesirable outcomes may happen to your device. use of this root guide is solely at your own risk!

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy S5 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
5. The CF-Auto-Root file works only on the Galaxy S5. Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy S5 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Files Required
1. CF-Auto-Root
2. Odin 3.09

Steps to Root Galaxy S5 Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware
Step 1: Extract CF-Auto-Root and Odin 3.09 files using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool.
Step 2: Switch off the Galaxy S5. Then boot into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 3: Launch Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 4: Connect the Galaxy S5 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Step 5: In Odin, click the AP button and select the CF-Auto-Root .tar.md5 file.
Step 6: Verify that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option is NOT selected.
Step 7: Double-check and click Start in Odin. The installation process will now begin.
Step 8: Once the installation process completes, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect it from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy S5 running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now rooted successfully. You can now install any app that requires root permission. Verify the root status of the device by downloading Root Checker app from Google Play Store.

Note: Many Samsung devices store a flash counter that keeps track of how many times you have flashed custom firmwares to your device. Triangle Away can be used to reset the flash counter to zero.

* Extract it on desktop

* Take a card reader insert memory card into the card reader nd connect it to the pc

* From the extracted folder run Diskdump2.exe

* Select generic storage Device. pictures below follw it

samsung galaxy ace 2 i8160 no imei/baseband unknown or no service history unknown

actually this phone is i8160P and i recieve this phone running on i8160 but no imei

2nd root the phone
3rd use z3x and repair imei
open z3x samsung tool click repair and enter the correct imei and click ok but always bypass msl error

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Prototype Photos Leaked Out!

Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 5 prototype made an unscheduled appearance in a duo of live photos. The latter showcase an AT&T variant of the handset with gold color scheme.



The latest leaked photos of the smartphone fall right in line with its past unscheduled appearances. The device’s gold color shade on the other hand, appears to be exactly the same as as the one found on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

One of the photos gives us a close look at the S Pen ejection mechanism of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It appears that users will be able to eject the stylus with their fingernail like n past iterations of the phablet. Recent rumors suggested that the S Pen in the Note 5 might have an auto-eject or a click-to-release mechanism.
 

Rumored specs of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 include Exynos 7422 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 5.7” QHD display, 16MP main camera, and a massive 4,100mAh battery. The handset is expected to debut in mid-August alongside Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

Samsung Galaxy A5 Lands In China


The dual-SIM version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 is now listed on the company's official website in China. It is selling for CNY 2,599. The price is a bit steep compared to the competition from Xiaomi and Meizu. The Meizu MX4 retails for CNY 1,799 as does the Xiaomi Mi 4.


The Galaxy A5 is the latest member of Samsung family and was announced almost a month ago and packs 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. It is built around a 5" Super AMOLED 720p display and at the back, there's a 13MP snapper with LED flash.

Samsung is also preparing an international launch, but at the moment details are scarce.

LG G4 Android 5.1.1 Update Not Planned At The Moment: LG

Just over a week after LG said that it currently has no plans to update the G3 to Android 5.1 Lollipop, the company has given a similar heads-up about the G4 Android 5.1.1 update.
 
While no additional details were provided, it could be that the company may just be planning a jump straight to Android M for its latest flagship, too.

Meanwhile, Samsung's latest Galaxy S6 duo flagships have started receiving the Android 5.1.1 update - it is currently rolling out to T-Mobile and US Cellular units in the US. In addition, the S6 is getting it in France, while the S6 Edge is getting it in the UK.

open spt software use any version flash file.but remmber must use repartition option then flash it
are you used odin software must use mx pit file&repartition option 
after the flash phone must powered but imei is damaged just rebuild imei via z3x.
